Terms of Payment

The Hungarian currency is the forint - HUF. All of the major credit cards are accepted at our clinic without extra charge: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard. The clinic charges the patient's card in Hungarian forint using the mid market rate set out by the Budapest bank rate on the day. Interbank rates may vary and this will be shown on your own bank statement. Discounts are allowed for cash payments and treatment over a certain amounts

*Cash payment refers strictly to cash only, Sterling, Euro or US Dollars accepted.

There is no advance payment and payments are made after each stage of the treatment is completed.  This means that if you  require treatment over 2-3 visits, payments will be spread over each stage of the  treatment. 

Payment for implant surgery will be directly after surgery has taken place.  Patients should ensure that they have sufficient funds with them at the surgery to make payment.  Patients may make payment before surgery if they prefer.

Payment for cosmetic work. crowns bridges etc. will be as follows:  40% deposit at the beginning of the treatment and 60% at completion.

For payments using a credit card, please ensure that you have sufficient funds and please bring your credit card and passport with you when you attend the appointment. Special journeys for bank visits will be charged for.   All major credit cards are accepted. 

Imporatnt Note: If paying by card, the amount quoted to  you on the treatment plan will be drawn in Hungarian Forints (HUF), so exchanged once, your credit card company or bank will exchange it back into local currency (Sterling, Euros or US Dollars).  Due to the fluctuating exchange rate of currencies, the final amount shown on your statement will differ from the price originally quoted by BHMS.  On larger sums, this can be a significant amount.

Payment for cosmetic work i.e. dentures, crowns, bridges etc.  willb e as follows:  40% deposit at the beginning of the treatment (after the 1st appointment) and the remaining 60% upon completion.
